Dead body of married woman found in suspicious circumstances in Motihari: Dead body was hanging in a closed room, police interrogating husband in custody

The dead body of a married woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a closed room in Motihari. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The incident took place in front of the Kalyanpur block headquarters.

In relation to the incident, it is being told that 30-year-old Anshu Kumari, the deceased, was living in a rented house for the last 7 years. Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. However, in the case, the police have taken Nitesh Thakur, the husband of the deceased, into custody and are being interrogated at the police station.

Anshu was married to Nitesh Thakur in the year 2011.

According to the information received, Anshu, daughter of Naval Thakur of Bakhri Panchayat of police station area, was married in the year 2011 to Nitesh Thakur, a resident of Tiwari Tola of Sasural Sangrampur police station area, according to Hindu customs. Husband and wife along with their children were living in a rented house in Chandeshwar Thakur’s house. The husband of the deceased used to live in other states and run the household expenses by doing wages. He came home on Chhath Puja. The deceased is survived by a 10 year old son Gaurav Kumar and 6 year old daughter Shreya Kumari.

Kalyanpur Police Station Sanjeev Kumar Singh said that after getting information about the incident, after reaching the spot, action was taken by taking possession of the dead body, while her husband is being interrogated after taking him into custody. No application has been received from the parents.
