Dead body of a middle-aged man found hanging in Rajgir: murder or suicide not clear, police engaged in investigation

In Nalanda on Wednesday, the police recovered the dead body of a middle-aged man hanging from a rope in a room. The case pertains to Dangi Tola locality under Rajgir police station area. The deceased has been identified as Parmanand Pandit (55), a resident of Khaira village under Ben police station area. Presently the deceased was living on rent in Ramanuj Singh’s house. The deceased used to work as a contractor for building houses.

The relatives are alleging murder for the sake of money. Although the local people are talking about committing suicide due to financial constraints. Ramanuj Singh’s son informed the police about the incident. After this, the police, who came to the spot, removed the dead body from the trap and informed the relatives of the deceased.

The wife of the deceased says that Rs 70,000 is owed to someone. He was being tortured to return it and was also being threatened with death. Was abused on Tuesday as well. He was murdered on Wednesday and the body was hanged.

In this case, Rajgir Police Station President Mohammad Mustaq said that prima facie the matter of suicide has come to the fore in the investigation. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The death will be revealed only after the post mortem report comes. At present, whatever application will be received by the family members, the police will take action after investigation.
