The Dalai Lama will stay in Bodh Gaya for about a month.
On December 22, the Buddhist leader Dalai Lama is coming to Bodhgaya for his stay. The Dalai Lama will stay in Bodh Gaya for about a month. During this, he will also give discourses continuously for all the three days. The discourse program will be held on December 29, 30 and 31 at Kalachakra Maidan. Its preparations are going on in full swing at the global level. To listen to the teaching of the Dalai Lama, all the devotees will have to register. The registration process has been started. This process is going on online and offline.
So far, Buddhist devotees from 39 countries have registered themselves online to participate in the three-day teaching programme, whose number is said to be around 9 thousand. Apart from online, a counter has also been started for off-line registration through the Dalai Lama Trust at Birla Dharamshala campus in Bodh Gaya. Buddhist followers and devotees from different countries have started registering themselves to get passes to listen to the teaching.
The members of the Registration Committee informed that offline and online counters will remain open till December 28. Passport and visa are mandatory for foreign pilgrims for registration. Wherein the citizens of India will have to present themselves at the counter with the photo copy of the identity card. Entry passes are being provided to them on the spot. The special thing is that those without entry pass are being given the opportunity to listen to the teachings of the Dalai Lama. But there is no fixed seat for them. They have to sit at the back of the program.
