Cyclone Sitrang: ‘Hurricane Sitarang’ in Assam‘ Due to which heavy destruction has been seen. Around 1100 people from 83 villages of the state have been affected by this storm. Many flights and trains canceled
Several flights and trains were canceled in the northeastern states due to the storm. Railways is also on high alert to deal with any kind of incident. Roads were flooded after rain in Guwahati after Tuesday’s rain. The major impact of the storm has also been seen in Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland. At the same time, rain with strong wind has started in many districts of West Bengal, Odisha and Assam.
It rained in many parts of the state
The impact of cyclonic storm Sitarang was felt in Assam on Monday morning. It rained in many parts of the state. These included Karimganj, Cachar, Hailakandi and Dim Hasao districts. According to IMD, at 3.17 a.m. on Monday, Sitarang lay centered 520 km south of Sagar Island in West Bengal and 670 km south-southwest of Barisal in Bangladesh.
