Cop caught red-handed collecting extortion in Patna City: used to collect money from illegal businessmen including gassing coupons, earning up to 10 thousand per day

On Tuesday, the police arrested a constable of extortion cell red-handed while extorting money from near Chowk Shikarpur Nala under Chowk police station of Patna City. The police have also seized mobile pocket diary and motorcycle from them. The arrested constable was recovering 5 to 10 thousand rupees per day from other illegal business people including gassing coupons. Patna City SP East Pramod Kumar said that in the past also he has gone to jail in many cases.

It is being told that near Chowk Shikarpur Nala, a constable was making illegal collection daily from people running gassing coupons. This information came to the Chowk police station of Patna City. As soon as the information was received, the police of Chowk police station formed a team and arrested the constable who collected extortion money from near Chowk Shikarpur on Tuesday.

Patna City SP East Pramod Kumar said that the arrested constable’s name is Chintu Kumar (36 years) father Ashok Kumar Singh, a resident of Kauakol, Nawada. He told that earlier he was in the district force. Apart from this, he has also gone to jail in the case of extortion from Gardnibagh police station. Police have seized two mobiles, a pocket diary and a motorcycle from the arrested constable Chintu Kumar.
