Madhya Pradesh Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey took a meeting of officers of power companies in Jabalpur. In which he described the satisfaction of the electricity consumer as paramount.
Electricity: Quality power supply to all categories of consumers, consumer satisfaction, achieving the target of revenue collection, transparency and energy audit are the priority of the department. Everyone from lineman to chief engineer should understand their responsibility and bring positive results.
Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey said this while addressing the officials of the East Region Distribution Company in a one-day brainstorming meeting organized today at Jabalpur, the headquarters of the power companies. He instructed that the work of the consumers should be done according to the Citizen’s Charter and after completing all the formalities by the consumers, it should be ensured that the connections are issued to them within three working days.
He said that there is a need for progressive work improvement in this competitive era.Principal Secretary Energy Shri Sanjay Dubey instructed to make billing efficiency above 90 percent and 100 percent collection efficiency. While reviewing the complaints of CM Helpline, Dubey directed to resolve these complaints on priority.
He said that the working style should be such that the consumers do not get a chance to complain. In order to increase the revenue, Principal Secretary Mr. Dubey directed everyone to continuously improve the power system so that better and timely facilities can be provided to the consumers. While setting the targets for the year 2023-24, he also discussed them in detail.
The Principal Secretary directed that an action plan should be prepared to replace low capacity transformers with high capacity transformers when the load is high. Energy Secretary and Chairman of Power Distribution Companies, Mr. Raghuraj Rajendran said that the staff needs to be vigilant to prevent power theft. If the maintenance of transformers is done regularly, then their failure rate can be reduced. He also instructed for daily monitoring of distribution transformers.
