Jharkhand News: Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress said that it (BJP) is scared of the party’s growing support base. Congress’ Jharkhand unit president Rajesh Thakur said that the BJP-led government is trying to break the morale of party leader Rahul Gandhi, fearing the party’s growing support base, in which it will never succeed. Talking to media persons in Medininagar, Thakur said that he is undertaking a padyatra in his own way in villages of Jharkhand in support of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and is accompanied by the convener of the Yatra, Subodhkant Sahay.

At the same time, Congress today released its manifesto for the assembly elections to be held in Himachal Pradesh on November 12 in the presence of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The party has promised old pension scheme (OPS), 30 units of free electricity and 10 crore ‘startup funds’ in each election area. Himachal Pradesh in-charge of All India Congress Committee Rajiv Shukla, former state Congress Committee chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and AICC secretaries Tejinder Pal Bittu and Manish Chatrath were also present on the occasion of releasing the manifesto.
