    Congress Presidential Election: There will be a direct contest between Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor in the election for the post of Congress President. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said that Mallikarjun Kharge will win unilaterally in the election for the post of Congress President as he has the experience required to run the party. Gehlot further said that this experience is not with Shashi Tharoor, who comes from the ‘elite class’.

    Kharge’s decision is being welcomed

    Gehlot said that senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge has a long political experience. He said Kharge’s decision to contest for the post of Congress President was being welcomed everywhere. CM Gehlot also said that Kharge has a clean heart and belongs to the Dalit community. Let us inform that CM Ashok Gehlot is also one of the proponents of senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.

    Kharge has more experience

    Chief Minister Gehlot after paying tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at the Secretariat said that Shashi Tharoor is also a good man, he has good thoughts.     Last date for withdrawal of nominations October 8

    Mallikarjun Kharge, Shashi Tharoor have filed their nominations on 30 September amid the ongoing politics over the post of Congress President. Earlier, Digvijay Singh had announced that he would not contest for the post of president. Digvijay Singh made this announcement after Mallikarjun Kharge joined the race for the post of president. Now the contest for the post of Congress President is left between Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. Let us tell you that the last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8.
