Clash between public and police in Begusarai: yesterday people pelted stones at the product police in Hardiya, video surfaced today

In Begusarai, the local people created a ruckus after arresting a person by the police team that reached for raid in liquor case. During this, there was a lot of scuffle between the police and the public. The local people have accused the Excise Department of excesses and the police even thrashed many people. During this, the woman police officer saved her life from the mob by sitting in the car. The crowd kept creating nuisance while sitting in the car.

Actually, this whole matter is related to Hardiya village of Mufassil police station area. Where on Monday evening, the team of the Product Department had reached to raid on the information of liquor. During this, the police arrested a person named Phulena Chowdhary. After which the local people protested against this arrest and created a ruckus. The local people alleged that Phulena Chowdhary was going to remove toddy from his palm. Then the police arrested him.

During this, the villagers asked to run bricks on the police vehicle. The crowd chased the police vehicle for a long distance. After which the police also thrashed a young man with a stick. Meanwhile, there was scuffle and uproar between the police and the public for a long time. This video started going viral on social media on Tuesday.

In this regard, Product Superintendent Avinash Prakash said that police is continuously taking action against illegal liquor. During this action, there was ruckus and stone pelting by the crowd. In this case, anti-social elements are being identified and action is being taken. He told that in the recent days, many times during the raids of the police team, the police team is being attacked. Which is also a big challenge for the police.
