Patients will get facility
The college administration has changed the timings of seeing patients in the OPD ward located at Purnea Medical College. Time has been fixed from 9 am to 5 pm to see the patients in the OPD ward. The lunch break will be for 1 hour from 2 to 3 pm. After this OPD service will start again from 3 pm. Earlier the OPD service was scheduled from 8 am to 1 pm, due to which patients coming from far off places faced a lot of trouble. OPDs were closed by the time people reached the hospital. Without getting the patients treated, they used to go back disappointed.
The rule will be applicable from December 19
Medical College Superintendent Barun Thakur said that keeping in view the problems of the patients, OPD timings have been changed. Apart from this, the cold weather has also come these days, due to which there is a delay in reaching the hospital to the far flung patients. Now patients will be able to get their treatment done easily. People also had to face crowd due to short OPD timings. At the same time, for the convenience of the patients, according to the disease, different specialist doctors have been arranged. Apart from this, a fee of only Rs 2 has been fixed for showing in the OPD ward. This is proving to be a boon especially for the poor class people. The Superintendent said that this rule will be applicable from December 19.
