Security is tight regarding the arrival of the religious leader Dalai Lama.

The security arrangements for the religious leader Dalai Lama who reached Gaya have been made like an impregnable fort. From the district police to the BSF company has also been put in his security cordon. It is a different matter that BSF has been kept in reserve and is currently kept for the Mahabodhi temple complex. Apart from this, black cat commandos have also been deployed.

The Dalai Lama had reached the Bodh Gaya Tibetan Monastery on Thursday morning at half past one. Even before his arrival, the entire Bodhgaya has been taken under security cover. The security cordon has been prepared from inside and outside the Mahabodhi temple complex to some distance. The Dalai Lama himself is being provided security by the army of the Tibetan nation. Firstly they are under the cover of their security agency. After this, a contingent of ATS Bihar, Special Weapon Bihar, Special Squad of Gaya District Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad and two companies of BSF have been deployed for their security.

Taking care of the safety of the Buddhist teacher

SSP Harpreet Kaur has given the command of security to City SP. The SSP says that the security of the Buddhist guru is being taken care of at every level. Every possible step has been taken according to the need for the security and arrangement of the Mahabodhi Temple and the Dalai Lama. On the other hand, DM Dr. Thiagarajan says that concrete steps have been taken for the safety and health of every person coming to Bodh Gaya.

Terrorist attack twice in Bodh Gaya

It is worth mentioning that in the last decade 2010-2020, incidents related to terrorist attack have happened twice in Bodh Gaya. The first incident happened in 2013 and the second incident happened in 2018. After these two incidents, the security of the Mahabodhi Temple and the Dalai Lama has been tightened. Not only this, better changes are made every day to keep the Mahabodhi temple and its surrounding area safe. So that there is no lapse in security. Apart from these security agencies, officers and personnel of Special Branch, CID, IB have been camping in Bodh Gaya for the past one month. Apart from these, personnel of foreign intelligence agencies are also engaged in collecting intelligence in a secret manner in Bodh Gaya.
