Former MP RK Sinha honored the players
Abhishek Singh of Bihar won bronze medal in 57 to 60 kg weight category and Ronit Ranjan in 52 to 54 kg weight category in this championship hosted by Boxing Association of Bihar under the aegis of Boxing Federation of India at Patna’s Patliputra Sports Complex. Bihar team won the fair play team title.
Yashvardhan Singh best boxer
Services Sports Control Board won a total of 11 medals including six gold and achieved the distinction of becoming the overall champion with a total of 59 points in the 4th Junior National Boys Boxing Championship. Even after scoring so many points, the Haryana team became the runner-up due to lagging behind in the number of gold medals (5 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze). Yashvardhan Singh of Haryana was declared Best Boxer, Rishi Singh of UP was declared Best Challenger, Sahil of SSCB was adjudged as budding player. Rohitas Kumar of Sonepat Haryana was given the best coach award. The Best Technical Officer award was not given to any one but to the entire technical officer team.

The players were awarded by the chief guest, founder chairman of SAIS Group of Companies, former MP, RK Sinha, former deputy chief minister, chairman of Public Accounts Committee, Tarkishore Prasad, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, cum organizing chairman Shrikant Kumar Ambastha. Addressing the players on the occasion, Chief Guest former MP RK Sinha said that the players should insist on doing their best regardless of victory or defeat in sports and every person should always move forward with this spirit of sportsmanship in his life. He has wished all the players to do better and bring laurels to the country. Organizing President Tarkishore Prasad and Organizing Secretary Rajeev Kumar Singh welcomed all the guests by giving them bouquets, organ vestments and mementos.
