    Bhopal News: Shivraj Government Strict On Drug Traders, Property Of those Doing Drug Business Will Now Be Confiscated

     

    Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seems to be very tough on the illegal trade of drugs. CM Shivraj, after meeting with the officials, has given major instructions to take action against the drug traders. CM Shivraj told that now the property of those doing illegal liquor business in the state will be confiscated.

    On Tuesday, a meeting of the State Level Committee of Narco Coordination System (NCORD) was held in Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the capital Bhopal. In which CM Shivraj discussed with the officials on the illegal business related to drugs and gave strict instructions to the officials considering it as a serious matter.

    CM Shivraj has said that the persons engaged in drug business are the most deadly and dangerous criminals. Strictest action should be taken against them. The property of such persons should be identified and confiscated. CM Shivraj said that it is necessary to run a campaign to save the youth from drug addiction. Activities should be conducted in schools and colleges.

    CM Shivraj said that the district level committees of Narcotics Coordination System should meet every month and the information about the proceedings should be kept before the state level committee. Districts where there is no NDPS Court. Courts should be set up there immediately. On this occasion, it was informed in the meeting that the state has been declared first in the country and Datia district as the best district in drug free India campaign.

    Issues related to making it mandatory to put up signboards focused on the harm caused by drugs in bars, pubs, restaurants etc. operating in the state, banning the trade of narcotics through darknet crypto currency and online shopping were discussed in the meeting. Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Sudhir Saxena, representatives of national agencies related to narcotics and officials of Social Justice and Industries Department were present in the meeting.
