On this day Yamraj, Yamdoot and Chitragupta should be worshipped and Arghya and lamps should also be donated in their names.
If there is a second date in the afternoon on both the days, then the festival of Bhai Dooj should be celebrated on the second day itself. At the same time, astrologer Dr. Acharya Sushant Raj told that this situation is happening on 26 and 27 October this year.
It will be auspicious to celebrate the festival of Bhai Dooj from 2.43 pm on 26th October i.e. Wednesday, which will last from 1:18 pm to 3.30 pm on 27th October. He said that according to the country, time and circumstance, the festival is also celebrated according to the date of rise. In such a situation, where people consider Udaya Tithi, Bhai Dooj can be worshiped on 27th October also.
It is believed that women whose brothers live far away and they cannot reach them on the day of Bhai Dooj. She keeps the coconut balls on this special day with a tilak and then when she gets a chance, she goes to her brother’s house and presents this ball to him.
