The High Court has removed the ban on the work going on under the Smart City Scheme in Sandis Compound of Bhagalpur. The order was passed by a two-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice on Thursday. In this, the ban on construction was removed. Soon the remaining work will be constructed. The residents of the city will soon get the benefit of this.
Multiple ongoing works at Sandys compound
Various activities are going on in the Sandys compound. In this, many types of construction works including swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, cafeteria, station club are being done. People will be able to enjoy it from the new year.

The High Court had stayed the works going on under the Smart City scheme. The matter was stayed while hearing the PIL of Amarnath Goenka. In this, the Municipal Commissioner was also summoned in the hearing.

After lifting the ban, directions have been given to speed up the construction work. It is expected that by next year, the residents of the district will get to see Sandys in a new form. All facilities are being made available for children to old age people.

District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen told that many types of works are going on in Sandis. Many projects have also been completed, work on many projects is in the final stage. Last year also a suit was filed by the petitioner, this year also a suit was filed, due to which the pace of construction work slowed down. The Municipal Commissioner was summoned twice by the High Court. The Municipal Commissioner told about the project in the court. After that consent was given. DM said that it is expected that people will be able to take advantage of this next year.
