A new record has been set for lighting 15 lakh 76 thousand diyas at 37 ghats of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. CM Yogi took the certificate of this record in the presence of Prime Minister Modi. During this, PM Modi performed aarti by worshiping Saryu. A similar view was seen on the banks of the Ganges in Munger, Bihar. Where 6 lakh diyas were lit. For this, 10 thousand liters of oil and one quintal of cow’s ghee were used. During the Maha Aarti of the Ganges, lamps were lit on 150 boats.

A grand Deepotsav program was celebrated on Sunday evening at the Badi Durga Maharani temple at Kalyanpur in Bariarpur block. During this 6 lakh lamps were lit. At the same time, before the Deepotsav, Maha Aarti of Maa Durga was performed. After this, the Pandits who arrived from Bhagalpur also performed Maha Aarti of Mother Ganga with Vedic chanting.

The Deepotsav was inaugurated by Bhagalpur DIG Vivekananda. In this program, lamps were lit on 150 boats present in the Ganges. During this, 51 thousand lamps were lit in the courtyard of Badi Durga Mandir Maharani Kalyanpur. In which one hundred kilograms of cow’s ghee was arranged. Deepotsav was celebrated by lighting 6 lakh lamps with 10 thousand liters of sesame oil in a land of about 6 acres in every lane leading from the temple premises to the NH roads.
In the Deepotsav, 10 thousand liters of oil and 1 quintal of ghee were used.
Apart from many blocks of Munger, a large number of devotees from other states participated to light the lamp. In which a large number of women and children were present. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people of the area regarding Deepotsav. Those who were selflessly giving their support for the success of Deepotsav.
In 2019, this program was started by lighting 2 lakh 51 thousand lamps.
Number of lamps increasing every year
The Deepotsav program started in 2019. At that time 1 lakh lamps were lit. After this, in the year 2020, 2 lakh 51 thousand, in the year 2021, a grand Deepotsav has been organized by lighting 5 lakh lamps. After which the biggest Deepotsav of Bihar was celebrated by lighting 6 lakh lamps in the year 2022.
Gulab Singh, Captain Sah, Raja Singh, Raja Mandal, Chhotu Ram, Vikash Dubey, Ajit Paswan, Vivek Dubey, Pawan Dubey, Vipul Dubey and Pansas Munni Devi of Youth Club and Shri Ram Sena participated in the Deepotsav program.
