Awareness: Do not accept unknown friend requests in Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram

The program was organized under the joint aegis of Sitamarhi Police and Bachpan Bachao Andolan in the courtyard of the school located at Dubey Toll under Bathuara Panchayat of the block area. Under this, an empowerment meeting was organized for the protection of juveniles from crimes committed against them by using electronic devices, internet, multimedia, cell phones and criminals. The meeting was organized under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police cum In-charge Special Juvenile Police Unit Rakesh Kumar Ranjan. While addressing the program, Sub Inspector Kalyani Priyadarshini said that awareness is being made to protect women and adolescent girls from cyber crime. Criminal use of electronic equipment, Internet multimedia cell phone is a sex offense committed. To avoid such cybercrime, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram were advised not to accept friend request from unknown person. In case of any kind of harassment, sexual abuse, inform the police immediately. Mukund Kumar Choudhary, Assistant Project Officer of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, gave several measures to protect against cyber crime. At the same time, everyone resolved to make people aware to avoid cyber crime. Sarpanch Rampravesh Ram, Chandan Manjhi, Mukund Kumar Chaudhary, Vikas Mitra Rampravesh Manjhi, police and a large number of students, women and adolescent girls were present on the occasion.
