A fire broke out in the shop of Shri Bala Ji Bakery located at Gulabganj square of Jagdishpur local town of Amethi district at around 1.30 pm on Sunday. This fire eclipsed the happiness of the baby shower of Aditya, son of bakery operator Jitendra Kumar. The son’s baby shower was to be held on Monday, but the fire broke out late on Sunday night.
The fire was so fierce that in no time the whole shop was engulfed in it. All the goods kept in the shop were burnt to ashes. At the same time, black smoke filled the whole house. Shop owner Jitendra Kumar saved his life by landing in the neighboring house with the help of stairs through the terrace. On the other hand, the other family members could hardly get out by lifting the children in their arms. The people who reached after hearing the scream informed the fire brigade. Firefighters brought the fire under control after two hours of hard work. However, by then most of the goods were burnt to ashes.
According to the information, Jitendra Kumar Yagyaseni, a resident of Palpur in Jagdishpur, has a two-storey house at the crossroads. Shri Balaji Bakery is running in the front shop of this house. Jitendra’s family lives in the rear and upper part of the house.
The people of the house were awake till 12.30 late night on Sunday. The fire broke out in the shop at around 1.30 am. The reason for the fire is said to be short circuit. Due to the fire, ten thousand rupees cash furniture, four freezers and scooty along with food items present in the shop were burnt to ashes. At the same time, the plaster, wiring and paint of the house were also destroyed. A loss of around Rs 20 lakh is being estimated in the fire.
