Agricultural Mechanization Fair in Aurangabad: More than 1500 farmers have applied online, up to 80 percent grant

Aurangabad A two-day agricultural mechanization cum material fair organized at the city’s Gate School began on Monday. A large number of farmers have come to purchase agricultural machinery at subsidized rates. DM Saurabh Jorwal, District Agriculture Officer Ranveer Singh, JDU District President and others jointly inaugurated the Agriculture Mechanization Co-Material Fair by lighting a lamp.

While addressing the farmers present in the Krishi Mela, DM Saurabh Jorwal appealed not to burn the stubble. He said that the stubble should not be burnt in the fields. Rather leave him in the field. Stubble will act as fertilizer after rotting. Along with this, he also said that there is a provision for action against the farmers who burn stubble in the fields. Farmers who burn stubble will be deprived of the schemes of the Agriculture Department.

More than 1500 farmers have applied online

More than 1500 farmers of the district have applied online to buy agricultural machinery at a subsidized rate in the agricultural fair. The District Agriculture Officer said that all the registered agricultural machinery vendors of the district have been invited. A total of 90 types of agricultural machinery, big and small, are available for sale in the fair. Farmers will also get 40 percent to 80 percent subsidy on these agricultural machinery. There is a provision of 75 to 80 per cent subsidy on 7 types of agricultural machinery – hemp seeder, straw baler, rotary mulcher, straw reaper, super seeder, straw management system and reaper cum binder – to prevent straw burning. General category farmers will get 75 and SC-ST and extremely backward class farmers will get 80 percent subsidy.
