In recent years, the government has started the work of on-spot investigation to strictly deal with people driving after drinking alcohol, which has created a stir among the drivers.
There was a stir among the drivers
In Begusarai, at around 2:00 pm on Wednesday, near the toll tax located at Lakho, the process of checking through the alcohol device was started by the Transport Department, in which there was a stir among the drivers. During this, the documents of hundreds of vehicles were checked by the team of Transport Department. On the other hand, only the drivers of the vehicles were checked through the device. During this, the challan was also cut for the lack of documents of the vehicle. The investigation process was done for about 2 hours. During this, there was constant commotion among the drivers.
Action taken on the instructions of the Product Department
In this regard, an official of the Transport Department said that in view of the liquor ban, an order has been received by the Product Department for on-spot checking of vehicle drivers through a device, for which this campaign has been launched. The official said that under this campaign, it is mandatory to check at least 15 vehicle drivers in a day. He told that along with this, the drivers are instructed to make their colleagues aware that driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime.
