Heavy rain caused a major accident in Lucknow’s Hazratganj on Friday. Nine people were killed and two were injured after a wall under construction collapsed under it in Dilkusha Colony. Two children are also among the dead. Officers have reached the spot. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have announced compensation for the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Yogi has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in the accident. He has expressed condolences to the bereaved families. He has directed the officers to provide proper treatment to the injured. The construction work of the old wall was going on in Dilkusha Colony, for which the workers were staying. The part of the wall that had stood firmly before fell. The accident caused a cry.
District Magistrate reached the spot, took care of the injured
As soon as the information of the incident was received, District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar reached Dilkusha Colony and took stock of the incident. The district magistrate said that the accident occurred due to the collapse of the under construction wall due to the rain since last night. The two injured have been admitted to the civil hospital where doctors have declared both of them out of danger. The District Magistrate reached the Civil Hospital and took their well being. The District Magistrate said that under the disaster relief to the families of those who died in the accident, an assistance of Rs.
Injured laborer told, called about the incident
Raghavendra, a resident of Jhansi, a laborer injured in the accident, says that the incident happened at around 12 o’clock in the night. When a man who had fainted in the accident got a call, he called on number 108, then we were brought to the hospital.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed grief by tweeting

He tweeted that I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of many people due to the collapse of a wall in Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi’s instructions, officers should conduct relief work promptly
In view of the heavy rains, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officers of the districts to conduct relief work with full readiness. He said that the officers should visit the area and keep an eye on the relief work and provide help to the affected people. He has directed to immediately provide the permissible relief amount to the families affected by the loss of life due to the disaster. He said that immediate financial assistance should be provided to the people whose houses were damaged or animals were harmed. The Chief Minister said that in many districts, due to rain, crops can also be damaged. He also directed the officials to conduct a survey.

The laborers were living in a hut with the support of the wall under construction and a part of the wall collapsed.
There was an outcry from the accident. The workers were buried under the rubble.
District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar took stock of the incident and went to the hospital to take care of the injured.
Army personnel also helped in the rescue. The wall belonged to the army officers’ colony. More than one hundred and fifty officers live here.
