    5 miscreants arrested for robbing thermal power laborer: looted in Buxar four days ago, weapons and cartridges recovered along with stolen bike

    Police in Buxar have arrested five criminals in the case of shooting a youth during robbery in Buxar. The laborer was returning home from the 1320 MW thermal power plant under construction in Chausa. The criminals already ambushed surrounded the way. Police have also recovered weapons and live cartridges used in the incident from the arrested people.

     

    Buxar SP Manish Kumar said that one of the five youths arrested has a criminal history. Presenting all the accused before the court, they were sent to jail as per the order of the court. The incident took place on the night of 24 May. Hareram Kumar, son of Rajendra Rajbhar, a resident of Mangraon village of Rajpur police station area, was returning home after working from the Chausa power plant. Meanwhile, four miscreants tried to snatch mobile and money near Jamuna Pokhar before leaving the village.

    When the victim protested, he was shot by the miscreants. The bullet hit the young man’s right hand. Based on the statement of the victim, an FIR was lodged against the four criminals. After this the police started the investigation.

    SP Manish Kumar told that a team was formed after the incident. After scientific research by the team, the four criminals were arrested near Rohini Bhan village of Rajpur police station area along with the bike used in the incident, three weapons and five live cartridges.

    During interrogation, the youth who had given the weapon was also arrested. Who is Sagar Rai, son of late Krishna Kant Rai, resident of Dihri village of Rajpur police station. The SP said that among the arrested accused, Manoj Kumar alias Golu, son of Budhi Ram Paswan, resident of Nagpur village of Rajpur police station area, Mohit Rai, son of Krishna Bihari Rai, resident of Hakimpur village of Itadhi police station area, Jitendra Pathak, resident of Gajdhara village of Rajpur police station area. Son Shivam Pathak, Vivek Rajbhar, son of Umashankar Rajbhar, resident of Tiara village of Rajpur police station area and Sagar Rai, son of late Krishna Kant Rai, resident of Dihri village.

    A bike, five mobile phones, three country-made cartridges of 315 bore and five live cartridges have been recovered from them. Several cases like Arms Act and attempt to murder have already been registered against Shivam Pathak among the arrested criminals.
