Air India: Air India’s aircraft coming from America to India makes emergency landing in Sweden, 300 passengers are on board

 

Air India Newark (US)-Delhi flight (AI106) with around 300 passengers made an emergency landing at Sweden’s Stockholm airport after it developed a technical glitch.

All passengers are said to be safe. After receiving the information, a large number of fire engines were deployed at the airport.

Emergency landing due to engine oil leak: DGCA

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has informed that an Air India flight carrying 300 passengers took off from Newark in the US for Delhi on Wednesday. When the plane had flown in the sky for a while, suddenly oil started leaking from one of its engines. After this, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Stockholm airport in Sweden. A large number of fire engines were deployed at the airport even before landing. It is being told that during this period an atmosphere of panic prevailed among the passengers as well.

Earlier on February 20, an emergency landing of Indigo flight was done.

Earlier on February 20, there was a stir after information about a bomb in an Indigo flight going from Delhi to Deoghar. In a hurry, the plane was landed at Lucknow’s Amausi airport. The aircraft was towed to an isolation bay and the matter was investigated. The staff heaved a sigh of relief when nothing was found in the investigation and then the aircraft was dispatched to the destination. Lucknow airport spokesperson issued a statement saying that due to security reasons the flight was landed at Lucknow airport and a thorough investigation was done. The information found in the investigation was found to be a rumour. After this the aircraft was dispatched. All the passengers are completely safe.

SpiceJet flight had an emergency landing on February 18

Earlier on February 18, SpiceJet’s Mumbai-Kandla flight had to make an emergency landing back after take-off due to a technical glitch. SpiceJet Q400 aircraft flight SG-2903 (Mumbai – Kandla) received a cabin pressurization alert after takeoff. After which the PIC decided to return the aircraft back to Mumbai taking precautions.
